The Chandikadevi temple of 13th century AD consists of a pillared hall infront and three cells containing images of Chandikadevi, Laxmi Narayan, Siva linga etc. The temple faces to the west, built on a high podium with two dipamalas on both sides of it. The pillared portico is supported by 35 pillars. The outside of the enclosing wall is a much abraded inscription slab. The greater part of this inscription is in Sanskrit, the remainder in a kind of old Marathi. Its main object is to record the foundation of an Institute of study by Chanddev, an astrologer of the Yadava King, Singhana and land grants by some feudatories of the Yadava.
