Macca Masjid

The macca Mosque was built during the reign of the second Nizam Shahi king Burhan Nizam Shah (1508-1553 A.D.) by Rumikhan Dakhni, who casted the great Bijapur gun Malik - i - Maidan. This mosque is also known as Rumikhan's or Makka Mosque. The mosque is built of basalt stone and lime masonry. It is about 12.19 m long north - south and about 9.14 m broad east - west and on its east front has an enclosure. The mosque has two floors the first or ground floor intended for a rest house or musafir-khana and the top floor for a place of worship. The flat roof of the mosque rests on four round polished stone pillars two in each row.
