This gate was once the northern gateway of a palace designed by Sardar Farra Baksh and finished by Niyamat Khan Dakhni in 1579 AD in the reign of fourth king Murtaza Nizam Shah I (1565-1588 AD). Only the remains of the gate could be seen and no other evidence for the palace is observed from the nearby area. This gate is a lonely standing ancient structure in the midst of modern buildings all around and heavy traffic. This gate was once the northern gateway of a magnificent palace designed by Sardar Faerrah Baksh and finished by Nyamat Khan Dakhni in 1579 AD in the reign of Murtaza Nizam Shah (1565-1588 AD). It served as the main entrance to the palace. The gate bears a Nagari and an Arabic inscription in eleven lines on the top of the doorway engraved in two stone tablets, which gives the date of its construction in 1579 AD.
